in the bottle a little longer

I'd suggest putting a 10yo age statement on the Green Spot, which would obviously require maturing the stuff in the bottle a little longer. I don't know if that would improve it but it would make for a stronger link with the brand's origins.

There is a Green Spot 10 year old (and 12 year old), pricey little buggers but very tasty. If I remember correctly the 10year old is €250 a bottle and the 12 is €850. Granted though these were limited editions released to celebrate 200 years of trading at Mitchell and Sons.

No, Green Spot was 10 years old back in the day. It's the current Green Spot that should really be called Blue Spot

IrishWhiskeyChaser wrote:Definitely would hope it will always be a fairly small batch operation but imagine a line up of Greenspot, Greenspot 10yo, 15yo and 18yo ... now that sounds yummy

I suppose it does They should go back to the colours though. Red, Blue, Yellow... it would be a hit.
