I like it. Fun mix of whiskey, beer, rum etc. And I like the bar food recipes!

Not sure I like the site a bit too much of everything going on there but that's just me I like things more simple ... just like myself
IainB wrote:I suppose I wouldn't call it a whiskey website as such, but it seems kind of fun. I wouldn't expect any serious info or analysis.
I don't buy the "simple like me" thing at all. Classic Kerryman. Pretend to be simple when your really a cute hoor.

Well, it's just a list of the best whiskeys to do shots with. We love us some Powers! Also, I wouldn't waste my Redbreast 12 on doing a bunch of shots.

Sorry to post again but I just want to say that we have 2 sommeliers who are writing for us and advising us along with 2 bartenders. They really know their ish. So there is some serious analysis going on actually... Slainte gentlemen.

But I am a simple guy. Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't refuse an expensive Cognac but the original point of the site was to use blind taste tests to prove that some of the over priced products are just BS! For example, we did a story on how a $12 bottle of Domaine St Michelle sparkling wine crushed Dom Perignon in a blind taste test. Why spend $150 on a bottle of Dom? Most of these overpriced liquors and things are more of a status simbol.
I'm not a hoor. I'm just a hoor with liquor and women.

I just don't know how you can cover so much, I'd find it all very distracting and don't know if I could give my all to so many different products ... but fair play in doing your thing and the best of luck with the site, I'm sure people will love it too, like Iain. Anything that highlights any product is a good thing and especially when you take out the pretentiousness and that has to be commended
Also I was wondering what you meant by shot, and I do know what a shot generally means, I just never heard of people doing shots of powers all night!!!! I thought there may have been a slightly different twist to it but maybe not. It just does not really happen over here but then people do it with JD here
IainB wrote:Hey, thanks for dropping in. No offence meant - I haven't read that much of the site yet but I also meant it as kind of a compiment. I didn't find too much highbrow ott scientific analysis of still shapes etc. Which I do find interesting sometimes. But don't tell anyone.
