Sorry to hear about the break-in Albert, hope they catch the person responsible.
Firstly, I assume (given the recent posts) that you have not listed the item seperately on your house insurance policy? I'm in agreement with IrishWhiskeyChaser, you are probably better off getting a spot-estimate from a reputable auction house as 'antique' values can vary significantly over time. The physical condition of the bottle etc would also affect it's valuation, and, unless you have some form of photgraphic evidence of this it might be difficult for an assessor to assign a value. Obviously the more information you can give them the better.
