The price is steep alright, more than twice the price of the RB 15yo.

I bought three bottles the other day

You must have got a good price for the kidney.

He did and I can tell you it went particularly well with some Fava beans and a nice chianti.

Well fair play Luke ... 3 bottles
IrishWhiskeyChaser wrote:Could not wait so gave it a go ... certainly seems like, at minimum, a good whiskey. Due to stuffed nose I could not get any decent aroma which also impacts on the taste. However I did notice that it sparkles on the tongue and certainly has that interesting character that is present in the Jameson 15yo Millennium PPS and to a lesser degree the 2005 15yo RB. This also comes across as quite complex. Enjoyed it but know I'm not getting anything like the whole impact out of it. What I did notice however which surprised me a small bit is that it has quite a light mouth feel. Not a rich as the 15 year olds.
Really looking forward to tasting this on a fresh and clear palate, then I'll be able to make up in my own mind if this is a good, great or stellar whiskey.
Must return to the RVR too to see how it stacks up against the RVR but from memory there is more indept fruitiness going on in the RVR.
