Was there any mention of the Glenmorangie 'Signet' at the tasting at all? Surely in could have substituted for the Ardbeg?

Rachel mentioned the fact that they were very pleased with it but had none with her. What have you heard about it?

The Signet is wonderful and well worth trying if you can. They have used chocolate (heavily roasted) malt in it and it gives the whisky some amazing cocoa and coffee flavours as well as a beautiful balance that may derive from some elderly 1970s malt that is in the vatting. Seek it out for a try, but it is not cheap. It retails in the UK for £110+.

If it were cheaper I would have it as a standard drinker.
