Midleton 1984!

Postby bobjones » Tue Feb 01, 2011 1:59 pm

Hi,
I have a bottle of Midleton 1984 and I would like to get an idea of its value.
I do not however have the original case, I keep it in a 2000 wooden casing.
I do however have its identification number and card.
Any information on this would be greatly appreciated!
thanks

i bought one about 6 months ago in mint condition (bottle and packaging) for 400 euro. I was talking to people in the CWS and they said they had sold 1984's for over 1,000 euro only a couple of years ago. It might be worth hanging on to it and hope the value goes back up.

With out box possibly €300 but may not even get that as the 1984 pops up regularly and usually has it's Cardboard box

See here

Edit

As kurtbenoit has said he paid 400 for his and that is a very realistic price for a boxed version.

thanks very much for the replies!
Basically I have a bottle of 1984 Midleton and if anybody is interested in taking it please let me know.
It was given as a gift but I am not much of a whiskey drinker and am interested in listening to all reasonable offers.
Regards
Bob

Does anyone know if there's any Colraine grain in this one? I wonder did they use Colraine grain in IDL beyond Bushmills' blends?
