Nothing new so ... sounds like a long term goal more than anything else. They probably want to wait and see how the brand progresses for a few yaers first.

It's new that they have said it. And if they are going to do it they should do it early, otherwise they are blowing their marketing on an end-of-life product. The brand has been around for years so they already know it has legs.

I met with the head honcho last November and although he never said yes or no to a new distillery, it was quite clear that it hadnt even been thought about and wasnt a priority.

100 million cases in three years? Surely they can't even supply that if there was the demand.

If it was the case, a distillery would make sense.

No, something is wrong there. Midleton can manage 6m cases at the moment and they have a plan to double that in a few years.

Maybe they mean getting to 100m in total for 5 years (20m p.a.) - even at that 20m would still not make sense - maybe they mean 100m bottles - what's that 16m cases?? Possibly in 5 years time but still unlikely.
