Not 100% sure it's a bargain but it seems ok to me - at Royal Mile Whiskies they've a 25yo CS NCF Ardmore for £125. Now that's not cheap but you get a free bottle of Ardmore traditional cask, which I really really like.

I See Lidl are getting in an unspecified 18 year old Single Malt Speyside for Christmas for an excellent €29.99

Sticking with Lidl I also notice that their Dundalgan blended Irish is now aged as an 8yo for €19.99 I'll let other people reckon for themselves as to whether that is a bargain or not.

I was on a Stena line ferry last week, from Dun Laoghaire to Holyhead and surprisingly seen Tullamore Heritage, which i believed was only available at the Heritage center

anyway it was a bargain for £26= 31euro, which is 50 euros at the heritage centre in Tullamore and as i was told, there is no signs of new stock and there is not many bottles left

Maybe it's been mentioned already, but the Bowmore 25 is the best price you'll get it anywhere at the Celtic Whiskey Shop. Got a bottle today.

Prices are pretty high here in British Columbia. The Bushmills Black Bush :D - my personal favourite - is $36.99CAD = 27.60euros. Still, it is a cheap price to pay even over here for such a wonderful whiskey. We don't get a lot of discounts on spirits here, two or three dollars on occasion. The only exception, is at one liquor store downtown, they discounted the Bushmills 16 year by $14.00 the other day. Needless to say, I picked one up.
Still, not complaining. We are able, at least, to get a substaintial number of the various whiskies over here. Also, the Bowmore 12 year old Scotch single malt at $60.00 is really pretty good for the quality. Funny thing, I was offered a Bowmore 18 year old on New Years at a local Italian restaurant, and really didn't like it as much as the 12 year old. I am finding a lot lately, travelling down the Avenue of Whiskies, that I am generally preferring the younger ones.
cheers,
Carl

Ok, time limited but worth posting in my opinion, one of CityDeal's daily offer is Whiskey Tasting, Museum Entry and Access to the Distillery for Two for €10 at the Kilbeggan Distillery (Value €25). Offer will expire at midnight tonight.

http://www.citydeal.ie/deals/dublin/wh-ma11/270791

Basically you buy a voucher that can be used anytime before the 31st May ....

Nothing to do with Independance or where you live guys.

I placed an order with a supplier in the UK in the last hour; the cost of the order - taking delivery and currency conversion into account, was still CHEAPER than if I had physically walked into a well known retailer in Dublin  Incidentally, I also priced the same order with a supplier on the Continent and the UK suplier was still cheaper (European supplier was charging €37.50 for delivery). Just so we're clear: the most expensive was the local supplier, then the European supplier and then the UK supplier. I am as patriotic as the next guy and will always try to give the business to local suppliers wherever possible but some people (& companies) will never learn - no matter what the circumstances!!
