What does the glass look like? Does it taste as good as it looks? ;)

Ah yes, I've seen these but never both them - I think the top slopes in the wrong direction!

funny enough, i get different nose on the whiskey in this glass, and it hits my tongue in a different way than the glencairn glass and this is supposed to be designed to that

I've started with the Quarter cask which I use as my benchmark for Laphroaig. Now I'm on to the 15yo before I finally open the 18yo I bought some time ago. May then have a 25 or head to bed.

By the way these whiskies have other wonderful qualities. I sliced open my thumb yesterday, by accident of course, and been sore and oozing ever since. Until I dabbed on some Lap about an hour ago. I do believe it's starting to get better already.

I think it was probably an 24yo. Green spot NAS is about 8 years old so if he had 3 in one glass that would be a 24yo, wouldn't it?

Not like you to get caught like that Z

Have to agree with Iain here ... don't think I've seen a reidel that look anyway decent and they are so light that they break way too easily.

Decided already. Whilst rummaging through the samples box i came across two good sized samples of SN2010, so i poured myself a healthy measure. The Ardbeg Supernova is definitely the best of the super-peated expressions, much better than the Octomore for example. Big big peat, all under control and in balance ( just ) and still maintaining the trademark Ardbeg complexity. With every sip i want to shout yee-hah.

Benriach 23yo (BF) Lovely and rich, vanilla and ripe soft fruits on the nose and possibly some fresh green herb that I can't put my finger on.

Quike fruity on the palate too ... the sum of the parts is basically like a chocolate orage liqueur

FInishes long with a bit of dusty spice and again that liqueur effect. Quite scrummy and just the thing for after dinner.

I've had the Dungourney myself a few times - very interesting PPS in my opinion - I've a bottle here calling to me but I'm trying to hold off opening any of the good stuff until I reduce the number of open bottles. Maybe in a few weeks when No. 3 arrives. I've already said I might go for the Midleton 1967. I don't know - should open something special - either one of these or a Willie Napier.
