Springbank sells for £1600 at auction

A rare bottle of Springbank has sold at McTears Auction last week for £1600 sterling.

The 1919 vintage malt sold well above the £1200 estimate

Nothing unusual there you may say ... cheap even ...

... Untill you find out that it was a miniature :shock:

Had I know it was going to go for that much, I would have sold a couple of Jameson miniatures to raise the cash.

I suppose at least two people think it's worth £1,600, but I think it's insane.

No, I have a few. Needless to say, I wasn't bidding on the Springbank...

I have a Cadenhead Tullamore. I drank one and have another. I can't remember which year I drank and which one I kept.

I also have a few old Powers, Jameson, Tullamore etc. Nothing too special.
