From a short trip to Edinburgh:

Dublin on the way over - Redbreast 15yo - €70 (I think that may have been mentioned already).

Edinburgh on the way back - Jameson Rarest Vintage Reserve £200. That's about €240?? Compared to €370 over here. Or even £245 / €290 on TWE.

If anyone else is coming to the UK in the next few days, try to see if there's a Waitrose close by. They are currently doing Redbreast 12yo for £20.99.

Edit: until October 12th apparently.

I know we have a few Pennsylvanians here so this may be of interest:

Tyrconnell 10 yr Madeira cask is on sale at the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board stores. Normal price is $91 USD but temporarily reduced to $80 USD. This is only available via mail order (shipped to your LCB store only, not to your home). You'll also have to pay Pennsylvania sales tax and a shipping charge. For those of us who can't find this whiskey locally it's an opportunity to save ten bucks or so.

Sounds interesting ... any idea what it is??? Hopefully it will get over here.

I got last years Christmas single malt which was a 12yo Highland Malt called Beb Bracken ... I actually forgot all about it and have not even opened it. I think that was €30.

Glenmorangie seem to supply a lot of different people, but I can't imagine them selling a 28 yr old for that price.

Can't really imagine anybody selling it for that price ... must be one of the blending malts ... something like Allt á Bhainne, Auchroisk, Loch Lomond, MiltonDuff, Tamdhu, Tamnavulin, Tomintoul. Just throwing out a few malts that don't spring to mind.

Jameson 18 euro in the new Tesco Naas. Apparently, it's a special offer for Naas only.
Bushmills white is 19 I think.
I think Red Breast was going for 28.99 or 29.99.
I'll be going back there tomorrow evening and will do a full check on prices.

Offer extends to other spirits too.
Hennessy is 20 euro, if you like brandy. Gin is 15.

Note: correct prices a few posts down.

Excellent price ... hopefully they'll do the same down my direction. A new Tescos opening in Oranmore soon ... supposed to be the biggest in the country :o so looking forward to see if they have any decent whisk(e)y selection.
