Whiskey tasting in Dublin

Let's talk whiskey.

Whiskey tasting in Dublin

Postby bmgri » Sun Sep 05, 2010 1:34 am

Hi all,

I'm trying to organise a stag event and I think a simple whiskey tasting to get the evening rolling would be a great idea. Does anyone know of a decent venue in dublin that offers an organised whiskey tasting event. It really doesn't have to be at all fancy, and I'm sure that price will be a factor too, so with this in mind has anyone experienced anything worthwhile? I've heard the bull and castle does something along these lines.

Cheers,

Where are you coming from and what day of the week will you get there? That might be relevant.

Any venue with a bar licence could host it.
But as for holding a whiskey tasting, your only options would be Heidi of the Irish Whiskey Trail down in the South, Mick at Mulligans in Stoneybatter or asking the Irish Whiskey Society if they would do their legendary whiskey 101 tasting for you.

Other options would be the Porterhouse Temple Bar, The Temple Bar Pub, The Vat House depending on budget... you'd be talking €20-€25 per head I guess
