I will write up the practical aspects of it, ie what whiskey was matched with what cheeses and some details on the whiskey. Later today I'll also update the event page with the whiskey table (and a cheese table).

I can't really judge how it went but I think at least that people were happy with the selections of cheese and whiskey, and that it wasn't entirely outrageous to put them together

I have the various lists and photos up now on the event page. I hope to write something more descriptive on the whiskey & cheese matching over the weekend.

Excellent write up david really enjoyed it and it made me a bit jealous that I could not make it, sounds like a really successful night. I do like my cheese and have often had cheese with my whiskey. Still a bit wary of goats cheese though but the second one sound interesting so might give that a go.

Something for the Galway chapter, perhaps? If you get a good local cheese shop behind it you might be able to scare up a crowd.

DOn't have a cheese shop in Galway but there is a Cheese Mongers with a wonderful array of cheeses.

Twas only tremendous. The missus has already been in to Fallon and Byrne asking after the goat!

Dave and El Presidentee was compairing loads of them for a hard night long and these 6 pairs was their favourite
and i have to say it was a good match with them all
