The Bull and Castle Christchurch Dublin 2

Located opposite Christchurch, this has more to offer than just whiskey, with an excellent selection of beers, the Budwieser drinker isnt welcome here!

There is a menu, but it needs updating, some on the menu are not available so look at the shelve for what you want. All the whiskeys are very well priced for a Dublin bar.

Slap bang in the middle of Temple Bar, The Temple Bar is THE whiskey bar of Ireland.

The walls are littered with whiskey, however this is a very busy pub with tourists, dont go in an expect to relax over a dram! The quite times tend to be Sun- Wed 4pm - 8pm. There is a whiskey list that you get to keep but no prices on it, so ask before ordering.

Knowledgable staff, but will quite happily listen to you to gain more knowledge

So very good value for money whiskies, mainly Scottish, I recently had a Rosebank 12 year old for about €10 which is good value for this whisky

A great selection, however i havent been here in nearly 2 years (hotel policy states that ex staff cant drink in the bar). But there is stil good selection available. No real bargains but they used to do a whiskey of the week promotion.

The Palace Bar Fleet street Dublin

The Palace has had strong connections with writers and journalists for many a decade. Its unspoilt frosted glass and mahogany are impressive enough but the special feature is the famous sky-lighted snug, which is really more of a back room. Many would cite The Palace as their favourite Dublin pub.

The 51 Haddington Road Dublin 4

If you head towards the RDS from St Stephens Green via Baggot Street, you will eventually come to the canal, as soon as you cross it, turn left on to Haddington Road, halfway down you will come to the 51.

It is a bit hard to guage how much whiskey there is in the bar as some bottles are doubled up, and there are several other spirits mixed in with the whiskey bottles.

There are several old collectable bottles in glass cabinets also.

There are several bargain to be had here! But there is no whiskey menu so check price before ordering.

Knappogue 92 €5.40 is still available for those who didnt try it.

Gresham Hotel, O'Connell St, Dublin 1

I haven't been in the Gresham for several years but they had a great range of whisk(e)y in Toddy's Bar at one time, including Redbreast on an optic! Can't tell you how many types of whiskey it has, given how long it is since I visited, but it's certainly deserving of mention in this list.

I hope you like the "new" Mulligans, not much getting changed JC more of a lick of paint and a bit of TLC, it was very run down and dirty the last owners left it in a mess.

I will try to get a link to a google map up here soon.
