Hey all,

Seen a few posts about people's favourite whiskeys overall. Just wondering what peoples preferred 'everyday' whiskey(s) of choice are?

Money permitted to around £20-25 or €30-35

whisky - laphroaig 10yo

whiskey - toss up between powers and jameson 12yo. both powers and jameson standard are excellent too IMO

Others well worth a try are Blackbush, the Irishman 70, Redbreast 12 (still €31.49 in O'Briens - see value thread)...

jesus, 31 for redbreast! i paid 41. would have easily put that down as best everyday at that price!

man, thats a steal. was up the north a few weeks ago, so got enough to hold me over for a while.

i always feel guilty using the 12yo's and other premiums as everyday. i usually have 1 and switch off to the bog standards. had 2 redbreast12yo's tonight, but had to switch to paddys after. a lot of people knock paddys, but i quite like it.

adrian, where can you find laphroaig in galway aside from freeney's? only have the 1 bottle from the north, so treating it like gold, lol. also how much does the 10yo go for in the south?
