Jameson Jubilee - Woodford Bourne & Co

I recently came across this bottle that my grandfather had kept in the attic. The cellophane is still intact and the bottle has been kept out of sunlight.

I contacted Jameson and they identified it as "a bonder's bottling, dating from the time Jameson would have sold whiskey in the barrel directly to spirit bonders who would then have bottled it themselves. In this case it's the Cork based Wine and Spirit merchants Woodford Bourne & Co. There is information about the firm here http://www.corkpastandpresent.ie/places ... urnecoltd/
The 'Jubilee' may refer to the firms own jubilee year, which is 1969, but that is just a guess!"

Great find. Do you have a picture of the top of the bottle and the capsule?

I would think there are plenty of people in Cork that would like that. I'll pass the word.

Nice find all right, would need to make sure the cork and seal are intact?

Label is in a bad state but it probably could all be cleaned up a bit.

But if all intact worth a good few hundred.
