The precursor to "The Truth about Whiskey" , Entitled Dublin Whisky Genuine and Spurious was included at the end of "The Pacific Steam Navigation Official guide " starting at page 463 to 488 .......full guide is downloadable from Internet Archive...https://archive.org/details/officialguideto00pacirich
a very good read..

A great find. I'll have to get the PC warned up to have a good look.

Do you have much information on Nicholas Devereaux Bishopswater whisky. I've little myself but would like to see more.

Wish I did . Other than Barnard and almanacs such as Bassetts and Strattens also some mention in the Wexford CO.Co. guide from 1912 not much info . They do get mentioned in the Whisky Fraud booklet in the context of supplying for blending with other foreign spirits.
BTW if the guide is downloaded as a pdf. and page 463- 488 is chosen for printing in booklet form ,a nice little booklet will be produced on 7 a4 pages.

I noticed they get a mention in blend bills in "Truths about Whisky" too.

I keep meaning to do more research but never get too far.

If the IWS were to consider publishing this as their second publication for members, I would be happy to make available my copy of the pamphlet for reproduction purposes. Bo)

There's a strategy meeting in a few weeks and I put this to the committee. I'm no longer on it but asked if I could attend this one.
