I managed to get a couple more Mano A Lámh. I was surprised that there were still available.

They arrived a couple of days ago. I wasn't sure if they would as I thought it may have sold out.

I got a half bottle of 60's Redbreast from the Celtic Whuskey Shop. These are getting very rare and I couldn't pass up having another.

Galway - little Off licence store on Salthill. Guy who works there said they will have more of them.

The Teelings Single Cask Maderia at Cask Strength in the Celtic Whiskey Shop for around €80. Great whiskey for that price.

Talisker 10yo from Tesco Galway for 38.69 reduced from 51.49 which is just shy of a 25% saving :o bd)

Anyway big thanks to Alicja for letting me know via bargain thread  but I'm not sure if it is reduced nationally as was not the case in Oranmore Tesco :!: :?: :!: :?:

I got a Powers 3 Swallow earlier for €45 in Green Acres in Wexford. Just had my nightcap. Beautiful peppery pot still.

I've added a bottle of Teelings rum cask, Powers John's lane and a Tyrconnell Madeira. I've tried the Power's & Tyrconnell but only ever had samples of the Teelings.

Pettitts Supervalu in Wexford have Paddy Centenary for €65. Apparently it's the same price around the country.

That's if you can get your local Supervalu to stock it in the first place

When the Powers 3 swallows was on special I was told by 2 Supervalus close to me that they did not get it in but hoped to get it the following week. One even said they would offer it at the sale price ... a week later still no sign

I went into Caufields Supervalu in Enniscorthy. They have a poor choice but do stock the Three Swallow for €40.
They stock Pogues for €29.95 but I've too much respect for myself to buy it especially if you can get Power's Gold label for €24, Crested 10 for €30 or even Paddy for €19.

I got a Powers Aviation today. I didn't even have to go anywhere to get it. A friend who has access to the Loop got it for me. I'm very happy. If I get another I'll be cracking it open. If not I'll hold on until I get a special occasion.

Hi everyone! Long time lurker, first time poster. I just got back from my first ever trip to Ireland where I was able to get some things not available in Chicago. I had $200 to spend and picked up the following...

Palace Bar Single Malt
Crested Ten
Locke's 8 Year
Writer's Tears
Cork Gin
and...just for kicks because I had $20 left...Lidl's own Dundalgan

Now the last time I got some Irish not available in the US, a friend brought me Paddy and Locke's, both of which became available within a year! Locke's disappeared but Paddy is still available. So rejoice USA Irish whiskey lovers, some of these are bound to become available...

Just saw Writer's Tears in a MN liquor store this weekend. The standard bottling.

Picked up the last two Michael Collins 10 year single malts. Seems like every time I've seen it in the last month or so, the various stores I've been to only have 1 or 2 bottles. Figured I better strike before it is gone. Almost missed Greenore Single Grain 8 but found the last one on a Binny's close out rack.

Greenore Grain whiskey has changed its name to Kilbeggan Single Grain. It has the same design bottle.

Teelings should be hitting your shores soon. They have some very nice finished whiskeys. Lots of unique flavours.

I know. I was just trying to get a bottle with the Greenore name on it for posterity. Teeling is here! I enjoyed the couple samples I had at CWS but haven't bought any yet.

I logged onto the single pot still site and managed to get 2 more Mano A Lamh. I've managed to get 6 bottles using the same address so far. My luck will surly end soon.

Kern. Kern? I had never heard of it until I was trolling semi-sketchy liquor stores today looking for forgotten bottles. Turns out it's a Teeling blend new to the Chicago area.

I wonder how it compares to the Teeling sold in the States at Total Wine under the Kavanagh label...

I don't think that's Teelings. Can you post a link or a picture.
