Dalmore and Ardbeg 5cl bottles

Postby Anjinsan » Tue Aug 25, 2015 9:46 pm

Hi all,

Following on from the wife's ongoing "what are you going to do with all that whiskey then" commentary, I have been going through my dwindling stocks and just found 2 5cl bottles of some decent Scotch!

I have a Dalmore 12 year old (with gift box), and an Ardbeg 17 year old. Pic attached.

Anyone interested or have any idea of potential value, or even where I might get the best price for them?

Thanks,
I.

I'd drink them if I were you. The Ardbeg 17 was nice whisky. They're probably worth less than the price of a standard bottle of blended Irish or Scotch.
I had the combination box of Ardbeg 10&17 for years. I finally decided to drink them and never regretted it.

The whisky exchange is selling the Ardbeg 17 for £50. I'm probably wrong about my valuation if so.

Hi GWH,

Thanks for the feedback. I am not a Scotch connoisseur at all but I do remember Jim Murray raving about Ardbeg a few years back. I am sure the Dalmore is a very respectable tipple also...

Rgds,
I.

Probably drink the Dalmore but the Ardbeg 17 is a fairly legendary whisky and I believe it is not being produced any more.

Well worth sticking up on ebay as a collectible and see where it goes. Could make a few quid.
