New launches, many new launches!

Let's talk whiskey.

New launches, many new launches!

New Redbreast (Mano a Lámh)
New Jameson (Black Barrel Cask Strength)
New Greenspot (French White Wine finish)
New Powers (10yo SPS Fox & Goose bottling)
New Teeling (Single Cask)
New Tullamore Dew (Cider cask & 15yo Editions)

To add to the list perhaps an IWS 2015 bottling maybe? ;)

Anyone else finding it (enjoyably) difficult to keep up all of a sudden?!!

I do agree Willie; despite all this - it's still very quiet around here . Where's everyone gone?

:o What will the Scottish Whiskey Association say this time?

Jim Beam - Scotch & Bourbon
Beam Suntory have announced details of an innovative new product that will be appearing shortly. The Jim Beam Kentucky Dram is a bourbon that has been blended with a peaty Highland Scotch single malt to add smoky and earthy notes to Jim Beam's vanilla and oaky character. It will be bottled at 40% ABV and will be available in the travel retail sector from mid-July.

I like the Beam idea in theory as I never really had any interest in the flavoured Whiskey's but a peated Bourbon is very tempting.

Like to get my hands on this for a try 8-)

i would imagine the SWA can do very little about this also as long as it is not trying to be a scotch which I cannot see.

Still very bourbon looking in the bottle and even spell their product Whiskey, best of luck to them I say ...

a drop of Laphroaig in your Bourbon anyone ;-) (Although it could also be Bowmore but I prefer the idea of Froyig :P )

Well the SWA stopped this twice already with the Bruichladdich 'Celtic Nations' & Teeling Hybrid No 1. Anyone traveling in July?

I'd say maybe it depends on how it is Marketed as there has been numerous Japanese made blends in the past that have contained Scotch malt that escaped the ire of the SWA so not sure what their criteria is to interject.

Will be interesting as to how they react though .... maybe it is down to the size of the funds behind a project
