Redbreast 12 yr Old/ Jameson 15 Yr Old/ Midleton 26 Yr Old

Postby Anjinsan » Mon Jun 08, 2015 11:00 pm

Hi all,

As I said in another post, due to ongoing nagging from 'her indoors' I am trying to 'downsize' my whiskey collection. I have the following if anyone is interested:

Midleton VR 1984 (boxed but box quite worn, no cert, no distillery invite)
Midleton VR 2005 (boxed, cert and distillery invite)
Midleton VR 2007 (boxed, cert and distillery invite)
Midleton VR 2008 (boxed, cert and distillery invite)

Midleton 26 Year Old

Redbreast 12 Year Old (with 'Bottled by Fitzgerald & Co Ltd' on the label). Not boxed.

Jameson 15 Year Old (not boxed)

If anyone can advise as to fair value or is interested in any of the above please PM me.

Thanks,
I.

Interested in the 15 yr (if it has a red foil capsule), the 12 yr, and the 1984 Midleton. Im not worried about he shape of the box since I intend on drinking it, not collecting it. Please feel free to email me pics at samarket@gmail.com.

also, you would need to be comfortable shipping to the US. of course, I would cover all cost associated with packing and shipping. (so dont skimp on the bubble wrap) ;)

Hi Birdman,

Will send you the pics to your email address.

Should be no problem shipping to the US as you suggest, if we can agree prices.

Thanks,

I.

with all due respect, I would prefer that the OP gives me permission to post the pic. It is, after all, his picture and property.

Hi all,

Sorry, was off line there for a few days. Have been trying to upload a photo but the one I have on file is too big, will work on it later.

Birdman, if you can upload a lower res pic then go for it.

Any queries, please PM or reply to this note.

Thanks,

Hi all,

Thanks Birdman for the help there.

BTW, my mistake - the Midleton shown is my bottle of 1984 MVR not the 26 Year old, if anyone wants to see a shot of that one please advise.

Thanks,

I.

Thanks for the picks

Wanted to see the Redbreast but noticed something strange about the Jameson 15yo. I have 2 of these and both are different versions. 1 is the Millennium Limited edition and the other is a Pre millennium edition with a slightly plainer main label. However both have the small oval green crest label just above the the main label stating the bottle number. However the one pictured above has a totally different crest label which is actually a crest label for the original Jameson Gold which originally came in this style bottle too. So this may not be what it's purporting to be.

Very odd  Where did you source this bottle :?:

Hi,

Interesting comments there. I got the bottle when I was with IDL, so you would hope it is a legit one  - could be rare enough if this 'crest feature' is unusual?

Not sure of value at this stage...

Well spotted IWC. I was looking at the capsule too. The ones I have are less golden than that too.

Was this a staff issue or did you you get it in the shop? Do you have a picture of the rear label that may explain more?

Hi all,

As suggested, please see attached a shot of the rear label of the 15 year old. I can't remember how I got it when in IDL but unless I got it as a gift at some stage it must have come out of the shop. It was a good while ago!

I have also attached another shot of the front label showing the crest on the shoulder of the bottle.

Rgds,

I.

An interesting deviation ... probably just a very minor labeling error. The rest looks right though, did you get a box with it?

Deffinately a crest label from aGold I'd reckon.

There's 2 Jameson 15's at this months whiskyauctioneer.com. One of the bottles is similar to Anjinsan's bottle.

It could well be. If someone bought it and had a spare box it could be. The reason for the higher bids is the condition of the box, I'm guessing.

There's 3 5fl oz Redbreasts that are not doing as well as the 4 ordinary miniatures(1 rarish). I wonder do people realise what size they are. I would have valued them at a 1/5 the price of a full bottle. A full 70's bottle got €404 in the last Whiskyauction.com auction. I would have said that was overpriced. If estimated the 5oz to be worth 40/50 anyway. We'll have to wait and see.

Hi guys,

I can pretty much guarantee that the bottle on that auction website is not the one I posted about.

Hi,

Probably too late to the party but I'm interested in the Midleton collection if still available. Could you PM me a price by bottle please?
