A very interesting article in Just Drinks.

I believe Ireland would be a great option for them to build their own distillery. They already have working relationships with distilleries here who buy casks. They surely know how quickly everything has been moving here. Lots of grants available too. If we could get the government to incentivise more we could have a whole new sector here. 2 distilleries per county minimum.

To be fair if 12.50 percent tax rate is not incentive enough already
then what is ???? Research has shown most of the multinationals with
different accountancy wheezes only end up paying 2 to 3% anyway.

never been a fan of Jack Daniel's or even so called Gentleman Jack but i've simultaneously wondered why Brown-Forman dont already have a distillery this side of the atlantic to make use of all the spare barrels they must run through. Keeping it as a closed system a la Beam-Cooley-Laphroaig must save money and resources in the long run
