Worst Value Whiskey in the World

any thoughts? ;)

There's plenty of expensive rubbish on sales these days, but which one(s) would you rank among the outright worst value for money :?

Haig Club? Inish Turk Beg? or maybe a classic like Willie Napier?

What about the Midleton 20th Anniversary release for €5000. It's basically a blend of blends. I'm sure it's nice but I'll never taste it.

I have a Cárn Mór 36 year old Single grain. I think it was €170. I have it 2 years now and still can't finish it. I used a fair drop in the tasting in Wexford in March.

Has anyone tried the 1984 Midleton? I don't think you'd be spending €700 to drink it.

I seen a Hennessy Na Greanna getting €500+ at whiskyauctions a while back and to grind your gears a little there was a bottle of Redbreast blend that got €150 back in 2009. Imagine how much one would be worth today! :)

I've a bottle stashed away in case I need to liquidate my assets and escape to some non extradition country. :D

Some of the Pappy Van Winkle are getting rediculous money lately. I've no doubt that they are good but the cost is hard to justify.

you mean you've no interest in joining these canny buyers for a bottle of Dalmore Trinitas?! How do you expect to buy your fair share of craftsmanship and heritage, John? How?!

I always thought that Ardbegs were overpriced.

As regards Ardbegs, each one is more expensive than the last, but the Gallileo just takes the novely/collector's item biscuit:

It was around £150 when launched as well. Basically a bog (no pun intended) standard 12 y.o. single malt which was shot into space and sold at a premium!
