Walsh Whiskey sod turning

Postby Good Whiskey Hunting » Tue Sep 16, 2014 3:04 pm

Peter White and Martin Bolsinger from the Irish Whiskey Society Committee attended the "turning the Sod" event for the new Walsh Distillery in Carlow last Thursday 11th Sept.

Photos of the event are on the facebook page. Well done to all involved. We all look forward to what Bernard, Rosemary, Shane and all at the Walsh Distillery.

Thanks for letting us know GWH; we'd never know what was going on without you!

If you're like me and haven't 'bought into' the Facebook tidal wave, 'Liquid Irish' has an excellent write up of the Walsh Distillery launch event over on his site

Thanks for the nod, John! I signed off from Facebook myself a few years ago.

Here's the link to the article on my site: Walsh Whiskey Distillery

I'm generally a bit behind the news and whiskey sites because I don't just reproduce the press releases. Those go out to general media and don't include all the whiskey details we like to know. When I've stripped out the made-up quotations and marketing, there isn't much hard info left so I have to annoy people with questions or dive into enormous planning submissions. Plus I have a day job and I'm a very slow writer :)

The result though, I hope, is information you can't find anywhere else on the internet, as accurate as I can make it.
