Laphroaig 25 Year Old CASK STRENGTH

Has anyone out there read a review of the new Laphroaig 25 Year Old Cask Strength? (50.9% NCF)

The prospect of filling the "missing pieces" in regular (40% CF) 25 YO is seriously tempting.

Or would I be better off buying three bottles of the 18YO (48% NCF) when it comes out?

Thoughts/opinions please!

The 25yo is wonderful. Full on CS Laphroaig. The 18 is very similar in style to the old 15; quite gentle and very smooth (hate that word, but it fits).

It's a tricky choice given the high price of the 25yo, but if I had the cash I'd buy the 25.

That's about as cheap as you'll get it too. It's a few quid cheaper in Royal Mile Whiskies, but that's all.

Love to get one all the same but we'll have to consider carefully.

When you consider the 25yo 40% is £150 you'd think that at 50.7% the price should correlate to about £190. Or is it another limited edition.

I seem to recall that they said it was to be part of the standard range, but there will be batches of course, with all the variation that can occur.
