The man behind Feckin is looking for planning permission for a distillery in Kircubbin.

I had to look that up. On the off chance there is someone else who doesn't know where Kircubbin is, it's in County Down, Northern Ireland.

Surely Termonfeckin would be more appropriate though.

I posted a little about Echlinville Distillery today, after having a long chat with them on the phone:

They certainly surprised me with the announcement that they had a distillery ready to go. It's very early days for them and they are still operating in "stealth mode" so some details are not yet public.

In the article, I put as much as I was allowed to say. No doubt they will have more to share soon, once they bed down their processes and start getting non-matured products out there.
