I have searched around a little and found 3 distinct packaging types. The first, like mine, was all wood. The second, like yours had a plastic front cover. the more recent one I see have a hardened cardboard box. I see on whiskyauctions.com archive that they sold back in 2006. It's great stuff indeed and I will try to get a few more bottle as time goes bye.
I was looking at your recommendations for premium bourbon and would love to find some of those locally.

I'm eyeing two or three of Booker's "Small Batch" bourbon, George T Stagg (2011 ed.), Old Potrero 18th Century Style Rye, Jefferson's Presidential Select 18 yo and/or Parker's Heritage Collection (4th ed.) 10 yo Wheated. We shall see what ends up in the glass (though with four of the five being over 60% abv, they may be smaller servings!)
