Greenspot Irish Whiskey (2008)

Postby IrishWhiskeyChaser » Tue May 19, 2009 9:25 am

In response to JC's chat about Greenspot I decided to post up my notes ... for what they are worth ???

Greenspot 40%

Nose: Honey'd Malt,Over ripe plum, light sweet Treacle, Citrus plus pleasant head clearing vapours (not quite vic's though ;-).

Taste: Quite smooth initially but in no way light. Nice honey. However the smoothness is tempered with a slight metalic zing to give it a bit of kick.

Finish: Nice medium length with a bit of spice on the tip of the tongue with fruity Mint and a lovely dryness at the very end

Comment: Greenspot is an Irish institution which we are lucky to have and should have a protection notice drawn down for it. A winner for me.

By the way, Jim, did you get to try the Midleton Single Cask bottled for the Celtic Whiskey Shop in Dublin?

Welcome on Board Jim, don't worry you have plenty of fans around here too.

I sometimes think people seriously misunderstand your bible ...

Anyway no one can agree on everything all of the time.
