Locke's Premier Crew - Quick question

Postby IainB » Wed Feb 15, 2012 11:23 pm

Quick question for the committee or anyone else that remembers on the make up of the Locke's bottlings that the society was involved in. Am I correct in remembering that, unlike the Locke's 8yo, there was no peated malt in the mix. I'm doing a tasting with some family and wanted to put a 10yo Madeira Tyrconnell alongside a similar Bourbon only 10yo Cooley. There being no 10yo Tyrconnell I was thinking this might be the closest. Failing that I'll go for the 11yo Single Cask from the CWS.

There was no mix at all, it being a single cask. So no, no peat. The Palace Bar 9yo would be another option.

Thanks. I knew it was a single cask but thought it could have been filled witha mix. If not then it's perfect. I presume palace bar is the same.

And thanks a mil again. I presume completely non peated single cask - I haven't opened my bottle yet!

I tried it in the bar. Definitely no peat.
