brilliant! John's always been a great supporter of single pot still whiskey (and whiskey in general.)

Well deserved, congrats to all the Midleton team, both in Cork (Barry, David & Billy  ) and Dublin (Brendan & David), to mention a few.

And to think they had being sitting on all these great whiskeys just ready to pounce.

A big congrats to the IDL team ... the Jameson juggernaut sometimes blinds us of the excellence of the master class of the whole Midleton set up. And the corporate image can sometimes hide the passion that is clearly alive in the staff and their whiskey.

So I think this should be seen as an accolade to the personnel of IDL.

Well done guys ...

Well done all involved. It was great to see that their Cask strength Redbreast won their Irish whiskey of the year too
http://www.whiskyadvocateblog.com/2012/ ... -the-year/
with quotes like this
"the stunning triple whammy of single pot still whiskeys from Irish Distillers in between that provided the greatest surprise in a generation for the Irish whiskey category"
it's hard not to acknowledge their achievement.

The only question is where do we go from here..........onward and upward i hope.
