Shamrock Irish Whiskey

Let's talk whiskey.

Shamrock Irish Whiskey

Stena Line Ferry (Dublin/Dun Laoghaire to Holyhead) advertises Shamrock Irish Whiskey which can be purchased on board. Anyone know about this whiskey? I see no mention of it elsewhere. Thanks!

the original shamrock whiskey is an old and probably extinct bottling from the long dead Connswater distillery in Belfast, but you still see old decorative adds for it here and there. If its a contemporary whiskey, its probably one of Cooley's side project blends and, to be honest, if you're going to go to the trouble of hunting down a whiskey specifically and paying for shipping to vermont, you could probably do much better

Thanks for the reply. We travel to Ireland every year and try to pick up a couple tastes that we can't get here. It appears that this is some kind of house brand for them...you are probably right that it is from Cooley. Thanks again!

Yes seems to be an Irish Ferries or Stena exclusive ... have never seen it any where else either. As Fionnán would not got too much out of my way to get it.
