Looking for a present

Hi all,

I'm looking to buy an Irish whiskey for a friend's dad (who is Irish) and to be honest I don't know much about whiskey or the Irish! Which whiskey would say "I taste amazing... guzzle me down now (if that's what the Irish say) and I am quite hard to get hold of"? I'm looking for a price range of up to £40ish?

There's a special liqueur store that's recommending the Irish Mist? Any thoughts?

Irish Mist isn't anything like whiskey though. It's a blend of whiskey, herbs and honey. It's very strongly-flavoured and I wouldn't buy it for anyone unless I was sure they liked it.

Thanks for all the advice! The guy in the shop just sold me the Irish Mist amazingness. Will have to wait and see the results...
