I've bought a few lately, even though I can't drink any of it.

I thought it was a bit nicer than most other people did. It was cheap enough when released in the US too.

Thank you for that link.

Are we talking about 50 USD when it was released?

Have you got a idea what year it was bottled ?

Much cheaper than that, Matt. I think it was in the €25 region. Maybe less. I can't remember when it was released, I might have that information somewhere.

There was also another Erin Go Bragh a long time ago - a 22 yr old. Don't know if there is any relation between the two bottles.

I have indulged in the Barry Crocket Legacy
WoW :o  I was expecting it to be good but this has to be the one of the finest ever ,and at €160 a bottle it is a bargain when you compare it to regular Midleton.
I'm working in a pub and i'm going to try convince the owner to stock it.i'd pay pub prices for it.

Greenore 19 Yr Old .... from the only place you can get it .... and worth every cent !
Especially when duty free and with an extra €5 off voucher (thanks to Whiskey Live event)
So that equated to €155. Now looking forward to the hours of enjoyment sipping and swirling

Can't say I approve of Ardbegs Aligator though ... going all a big silly now

But as long as it is good I suppose no harm.

Aye, looking forward to cracking these open. I've been on the wagon for some time now - hence my absence - but i can't fight the thirst for much longer.

A standard Connemara Peated, bought for £19 +change from Waitrose. Both this and the RB12 were less than £20 and labelled as "Reduced To Clear".

I'm trying to get one of them... Where did you get yours, if you don't mind me asking?

I take it this is the one given to staff?

spoken to a Pernod head, who drank the whole bottle, he said it is a standard Jameson in the bottle

spoken to another man, they had half a million budget for the launch of this in Ireland, for 3 events,
top lads night, they had fresh lobsters flowed in on antarctic ice on helicopters, master chefs posh dinner, The Cranberries played live etc,
other heads night, good menu, some music
ordinary workers night, possibly salmon and the radio on

i haven't tasted it, but as my friend told me it is a standard Jemmy, i am surprised with that, and staff here were told not to open it, and it is worth 400 right now, and will wort a fortune in years to come, which i be doubted if the liquid is cheap

the presentation is nice, but if you really look at it, the most they probably spent on is the printing of the book, that is about 40 per copy, lots of nice photographs and little story with all
the plastic box probably made in china for 5
the label with gold and all printed for 10-15 max

but the liquid, well i love to taste it, butt they should of selected 5 20+ years cask and fill these bottles, and i do not think that would make the company busted...
and then they can really say that is worth the big money
