With the global stock market taking a bit of a hammering there are suggestions to Investors to think outside the box and diversify .... whiskey is been seen as an good opportunity:

Diageo did something similar I recall earlier in the year to plug a hole in it's pension fund.

So if you're getting grief over the amount of whiskey you're buying you can always say you're building up your pension fund !!!!

I've been using that chestnut for years now.it still doesn't account for the empty bottles but i've managed to come up with a few plausible excuses for those too.
I bought a copy of the Examiner just for that clipping. Fair play and thanks.

Yeah the empty bottles is really just eating into your retirement fund .... or should I say drinking into

having said that, you're probably still outperforming the standard pension funds
