Kilkenny Trip Friday 14th/Sat 15th October 2011

We have been invited by Liam Murray of The Wine Centre http://www.thewinecentre.ie to visit the premier wine, beer, spirits & cigar shop in Kilkenny.

Accommodation is room and breakfast in the Kilkenny Ormonde Hotel which is in the centre of Kilkenny City,
Cost is €130 euro for 2 nights and includes access to Hotel facilities http://www.kilkennyormonde.com, 5 minutes walk from Wine Centre so is ideal.
[feel free to make alternative accomodation arrangements if you wish but let us know]

Tasting bottles in The Wine Centre @ 7pm Friday will include Ballylarkin, Henry Downes No.9, Writers Tears Cask Strength (if Liam can lay his hands on it on time) and Coleraine blend (we might twist his arm on something else).
There will be some rare Irish and Bourbon whiskies on display and for sale.

A tour of Smithwicks Brewery has been confirmed for 3.30pm Saturday. The tour will finish with a sampling.
You will be able to try the newly launched Smithwicks Pale Ale. http://www.smithwicks.ie

They are only 10 places available, and transport is everyones individual responsibility (but we might car-pool, train is also a convenient option)

Numbers will be required for the Hotel so pre-booking can be arranged. [Quote booking code IWS if booking directly]
