Nice collection Willie, just a quick question ... what are you referring to in regards to the Knappogue 1996?

I thought I had most of them but this does not ring a bell.

I have

1990, 1991, 1992, 1993, 1994 (L4 10yo first batch), 1994 (L6 12yo second batch), 1994 (Master Distillers Private Selection), 1995 (L5 12yo first batch) 1995 (L9 14yo Second Batch New Label) 1998 and the 12yo

Plus a regular 1951 & a 1951 Single cask (No 13).

It should read 1994,too much of the Redbreast.
I'd every intention to get the Castle Collection, Then i was told it wouldn't be available in Ireland by the rep for Castle Brands.Did you collect all separately?would have been hard to get here i bet.
The 16 year old should be available here soon.

Hi Adrian, there is another bottle of Knappogue Castle 1992. I have a 1992/1999 (700ml) and a 1992/2000 (750ml).
But found out that i am missing a bottle 1994. Have a 1994 L4 (1994/2004) but not a L6 :shock:

I have another one that is not on the List above, its a 15 y.o. very limited edition (600 bottles) (cask marrying,1990/1991/1992)

Can you check the bottle codes on your 1992 Knappogues (printed in laser in on back of the bottle or reverse label)

I have these two in my collection

L9 001 083 (700ml) L9 001 159 (750ml)

You could be on to a new discovery there!!!

OK, just checked the bottles: Knappogue 1992/2000 , 750ml , 40% , L0 001 280 (printed in laser on bottle)
Knappogue 1992/1999 , 700ml , 40% , L9 002 149 (printed on back Label)

Difference on the Label: (1999) Each cask of whiskey was individually selected by Jim Murray world renowned whiskey expert.
from special casks of mature Irish Single Malt bottled in 1999.

(2000) Each cask of whiskey was individually selected and bottled in 2000 from special casks of mature Irish Single
Malt.

This sounds like a second batch of the same run but possibly on a different bottling line. So the whiskey I would imagine is the same.

The Jameson Collection "Cooperage & HORSE" were special limited edition releases of regular Jameson for the Dutch & German markets but in 1 litre bottles. Possibly issued on 2 separate years as a sequence in the mid 90's which did not go any further. I have long got rid of my 2 so cannot check for L codes but no major value on those.

Jameson Marconi is a fairly straight forward limited edition to commemorate 100 years of radio 1895 - 1995 I think so stands to reason it was released in 1995. I've forgotten if it was the precursor of the Gold with the Virgin oak bit but would not be surprised if it was. Getting more and more rare as the years go by value probably circa €100-120Euro

Yeah, it used to be mine... There were 60 odd made for some visiting Americans and there's one on display in the Jameson Experience at the old Midleton Distillery. It's a 16 yr old pure pot still.

I think they had them at the Midleton Distillery up to very recently. I'd say they'll be popping up here and there for years to come, though.
