Cooley Turning Japanese, I really think so!

Suntory Australia has been appointed the local distributor for the Cooley Distillery’s award winning range of Irish whiskey, which includes the Kilbeggan, Connemara, Greenore and Tyrconnell brands.

Kilbeggan Irish whiskey has an extensive heritage and is made at the Old Kilbeggan Distillery, which celebrated its 250th anniversary in 2007 and is reportedly home to a various spirits of the supernatural kind.

The brand has won various awards including the 2009 LA International Wine and Spirits Gold Medal and Best in Class, while the only peated single malt whiskey from Ireland, Connemara, was voted best Irish Single Malt in 2009.

Another historic brand in the Cooley Distillery range is Tyrconnell, named after a famed ‘roughie’ Irish race horse, while the single grain whiskey brand, Greenore, is considered one of the next generation of Irish whiskeys due to its unique production methods.


The Cooley Distillery range that will now be distributed locally by Suntory Australia.
