Has it been this long since the last commercial offering of a Pure Pot Still (PPS) from the four masters at Midleton.
For the last ten years the PPS fans of Ireland have had to be content with the mighty Greenspot (excluding the Ltd Editions) and the stalwarts that are Redbreast 12 and the now scarce Redbreast 15. Surely there is something in the pipeline?
Colour: A lovely golden pine colour
Nose: Unmistakeable Midleton sherried pot-still nose with honey, raisins & cereal.
Taste: Honey-sweet with pleasant bitter contrast, spicy with slight nuttiness.
Finish: Not the length one might expect with the classic full bodied oily pot-still but still a fantastic dram!
Score: 88/100
Thanks as ever to JohnM for the precious sample
