Dating two Bushmills bottles

Postby Pete » Tue Jul 18, 2017 4:15 pm

Hi all,

Please can you point me in the right direction to date two Bushmills bottles I purchased at auction. I plan on side by side tasting with their modern counterparts.

They both appear to be screw tops. I'm not sure how to use the glass markings on the base to help with date.

Pics of the bottles at these links:

Thanks!

I think both are 1990's bottles.

Possibly 80's also or early 90's. They started to use corks for these by at least the end of the 90's.
I would imagine there would not be any major value on these

However the Blackbush would be a far better whiskey than today's version with more Sherry influence in my opinion.
