I've a Hennessy na Geanna I'm looking to unload, if anyone is interested they can message me. I'm based in Dublin if that helps avoid postage.

There is a whiskyauction.com auction tomorrow. I has one of the worse selections of Irish Whiskey I've seen for years. The only consolation is the prices should be cheap.

The only one I would be interested in was the Bushmill's with Caribbean Rum casks but I hope to get it for less than a €100, a little wishful.

Inish Turk Beg may be of interest to some. It will never be repeated I think.

Other than that the Craoi Na Móna from Berry Bros. & Rudd or the Paul Daly designed Jameson may be of interest.

Hopefully next month's will have a better selection.

I just seen McTears upcoming auction entries
http://www.mctears.co.uk/auctions/brows ... c786842d5f

only 1 Irish whiskey I could find, Lot 852 a Jameson 12 from the 80's.

I checked whiskyauction.com. not a great selection this month either. Jameson 15 year old, Greenore 18 year old and old bottles of Greenore and Green Spot seem to be the highlights. I could nearly predict the prices.

Did anyone know the result of the Mealys auction yesterday?

There was a lot with 30 odd bottles with old Redbreast and Crested 10 among others. I was working until 8 yesterday and missed it.

Here's a few notable results from whiskyauction.com

Greenore 18 year old - €86

Greenore 8 years old old style bottle - €40

Jameson 15 years old PPS - €200

Midleton b.1992 - €452 :o

Green Spot old bottle - €46 -I purchased this.

Locke`s Single Malt Limited bottle - €47

I think the Midleton was a big surprise, I expected to be outbid on the Green Spot.

The Midleton 1992 was a big surprise. I was surprised that the old
style Greenore didn't do better as they are relatively scarce !!

This months selection has the Irisch Lifestyle Single Cask Midleton bottle. Other than that it's nothing really odd or unusual.

There were some good results from that auction.
The Midleton got €250 , an early 80's Paddy got €80, Powers from the same era got € 62 & a Jameson 1780 got €82.

The one that baffles me is an
Ardbeg Dummy Bottle(empty)
10 years old Mór with Chain Bottle Glorifier. €501

I won the Midleton. I was on auto pilot again. I wasn't really after it. How much are these in the shop?

I think they were €235 when they came out but I can't be certain. I think it was a fair price.

Latest Whiskyauction.com saw good prices paid for two Paddy bottles
that normally would not excite huge interest . The one that cost 94
Euro was a 43% proof but still had'nt made a price like that previously

I was bidding on the Jameson 15. Didn't get it and it went for 259 euro. I would have gone higher but that's my limit at the moment till I get a bit more flushed with cash.

I've just been on whiskyauctions.com and I've never seen so much Swedish whiskey.

What it like? I think I'll make a couple of bids because there'll have to be value out there with so much flooding the market at once.

I missed all those Swedish Whiskeys after. Very little Irish on offer. Most notable in my opinion was the Kilbeggan 34 year old for €613 and the Writers Cask strength for €96.

The current auction has a huge choice of Irish whiskeys. I'm going to try replenish some older stock if i can.

I just checked in on the Scottishwiskyauctions.com and it had some interesting bottles.
the ones that stood out were
John Power 7 year old Pot Still £170, &
Jameson Grace £155

I got the Powers. I recently sold my older bottle to The Celtic Whiskey Shop but now I'm happy to have another.

The latest whiskyauction has the biggest collection of Irish I've seen in a while. Not all of huge interest but a couple of good ones all the same.

An interesting early bottle of Irish whisky (without "e") in Bonhams sale this week.

Bottled by Berry Bros adn Rudd and cellar records indicate early 20th century.

Any thoughts as to whom was supplying Berry Bros at that time

I see McTearshave an interesting one this time. An old bottle of Bagots. I assume they have others but I didn't really look hard.
