Selling Whiskey

Postby Rocketmantony » Thu Oct 15, 2015 1:19 pm

Good Afternoon,
I am a new member and I am looking to sell my bottle of Middleton Very Rare 1993. The bottle, case, documentation etc is all in excellent condition.
Also an Old Bushmills Single Malt Single Barrel Cask Nr 2328.Bottle Nr 263. Strength 60%. In a wooden presentation box "Selected for Harland & Wolff Ship Repair"
I have an idea of the value, but dont know how to find a buyer, any advice on where and how to sell would be appreciated.

Kind Regards
Tony

The Midleton is worth about €350+. They retail for €500+ but shops have running costs to consider.
Auctions will probably get close. To €400 but there's commission & other costs to consider there too.

The Bushmills is probably worth €2-300. Here an Auction results link. I prefer to have no name on those Millennium casks. This may take from the value but some won't mind.

Also in regards to finding a buyer, you can do so through here but 1 caveat please no open discussion on the forum, use the PM (Private Message) function in you dealings.

You can already consider your post as an expression of interest to sell if you wish.

i.e. Hi I have such and such for sale anyone interested please PM me.

Reply, Hi I'm interested in your bottle PM sent.

Do you know the year the Bushmills was distilled? Or bottled?

The date on the Bushmills bottle is 1608.
More seriously, I received the bottle in 2003. That's the only information I can provide on this bottle.

If you can get a picture of the Bushmills up it would give us a idea of the type of bottling it is.
