Findlaters irish whiskey help !

Postby mjr001 » Tue Sep 11, 2012 10:38 am

I have been given a bottle of irish whiskey by a well known wine critic and would like to get some help with a valuation on it if possible

The bottle is Findlaters celebrated old irish whiskey 70 proof, brown bottle, green cap, beige label with green writing. It also says by appointment to his majesty the king, which means it must be quite old.

Any help would be grateful, i can send photos if this helps

Is it a bottle of Findlaters A1 whskey, if so I believe that was still available up until the 1960s,
By appointment to His Majesty the King suggests pre 1952, however 70 proof suggests 1950s to 1970s
