Interesting Bottle, however going by the look of it it is just a regular Powers blend (Going by the screw cap) and as you say possibly from the 70's but would not be before that.

I would therefore reckon it would not be worth more than 50 or 60 Euro. Probably max 50 as the label is in very bad condition.

If it was a Pure Pot Still it would be a different story.

Nice bottle though.

thanks adrian
can you tell me what type of whiskey would they issue to staff
regarding age or blend or would you get something special especially
if you were in the distillery ;) ;) ;) and knew who filled the bottles
i assume that the staff issue printed in red on the label was to stop
the non whiskey drinking staff flogging it to his local landlord :D :D :D

A nice curiosity you have there, in terms of age I would say earliest would be late 1970s, difficult to date powers label as it was unchanged for such long periods. Pity the label is damaged, it may have had a bit more value as a oddity. in terms of the whiskey it would be regular powers whiskey c. 7yo +/- couple years. thanks for the picture interesting to see.

I have a 1lt bottle of Powers with the same label (not staff). It's from the late 70's/80's payed €50 for it a few moths ago (it's in pristine condition).
