Pale Ale is good for you

Postby PureDrop » Tue Feb 16, 2010 12:56 am

An article in New Scientist refers to a report that shows that "beer is a good source of bioavailable silicon, and that it improves bone mineral density in a way not seen with wine or spirits". Pale Ale is particularly good. Lucky me.
So Red Wine for the heart, Pale Ale for the bones, ... and whiskey for ???

Ahh Smithwicks, fantastic ale from the oldest brewery in Ireland. One of my favourites!

In the US, Ballantine used to make "India Pale Ale". Delicious, and it had all this "stuff" floating around in the ale. I guess that "stuff" was the good additives? Haven't seen that in ages, I don't believe it's made anymore.
