Some day I will own a banjo.

Speaking of which, Cathy Davey wields one on stage too:
Army of Tears

Looks like a guitar-tuned banjo.

Her last album, The Nameless, is excellent. One of the very few I've bought in recent years (hard to find stuff I like).

Yes a guitar banjo - six strings. A recent member to the family.

This is a great video.

Many in Ireland may have heard of Crystal Swing as possibly Ellen viewers ...

This is a taste of what they are known for ...

Crystal Swing "He drinks Tequila" on the Late Late Show

However this is their new Video ... i know I know ye are probably wondering why I am highlighting this ... however I actually think this is class ... have not really listened to the quality and merits of the cover but the actual video may actually entertain ye for 4 mins and 37 seconds ... enjoy ;)

I know cracked or what

Maybe I'm just getting old and my pleasures are getting more simple by the day but I could not stop laughing at this.

There is a Whiskey link here though Crystal Swing who are a Mother Son & Daughter out fit are actually from Midleton ... there must be something in the water down there ;)

By the way and last Crystal Swing link I swear but this is the Ellen Degeneres Appearance and they give Ellen a personalised bottle of Jameson 12yo (Midleton) Distillery Reserve so a nice little bit of free PR for Jameson.

Would you believe I've only just noticed this post now. I've followed the link about 6 months later. That was a very very strange experience. I can't say I'm the better for it.
