im not being a wise guy--just need to know

now that im in the hiskey making mode again, i did a search on google for whiskey forums.
They all seem to be dedicated to scotch and burbons .

but are listed as whisky forums i guess the spelling should be a clue. I wont be insulted of some of you folks care to enlighten me but i found it strange.

when i searched for Irish whiskey info I found this site but my general search only produced whisky and my sharch was for whiskey forums spelled like this.

Somebody somewhere loaded the search engine key words, and maybe just spelled it without the E.

Sometimes I'll be searching for something and the results will come up "don't you mean?" and list a word that's close to the word I typed in.

As posted here, "whisky" is Scotch, and "whiskey" is all the others.
