The Irish Whiskey Society visit Tullamore-
Thanks to all at William Grant & Sons, Tullamore D.E.W. and Michael Byrne of the Offaly Historical Society. We got a brillant tour of the visitors centre with Ita Galvin and Marsha Sutcliffe. We were delighted to get a rare look inside the excellent new distillery with John Quinn global brand ambassador and the new distillery ambassador Jennifer Proctor. John kindly let us all extract our own sample from his personal cask. This was on top of the three Tullamore D.E.W. whiskeys we sampled that morning also. We enjoyed a whiskey history walk around the town that evening with Michael Byrne of the Offaly Historical Society. We returned to the vistors centre that night for a tasting of 5 more Tullamore D.E.W. whiskeys hosted by Marsha Sutcliffe. The Tullamore D.E.W. range is expanding and we look forward to more from them. If you have not tried them you should seek them out - Phoenix, Cider Cask, 15 Year Old Trilogy, Old Bonded Warehouse, 10 Year Old Single Malt, 12 Year Old Special reserve, Tullamore D.E.W. orginal............. Let us know what you think of them!!
