Davin de Kergommeaux is in Dublin and Cork in September. He's one of the leading experts on Canadian whisky and has a book or two on the subject. I wonder would it be an idea to book him for a tasting or something like that. He said he's be interested in meeting some society people...

I don't know if that got to the committee or not. I'm sure there is great interest in hearing more about Canadian whisky after our recent tasting. What it needs is someone to step forward and organise the thing and that might be the sticking point, especially since it might need to be outside the normal schedule.

Maybe the committee could consider it at the next meeting. An informal link-up is another option.
