Jameson 12yo Red Label

Let's talk whiskey.

Jameson 12yo Red Label

Does anyone have any idea where I might get a bottle of this at this stage. I have one I'm dying to open but I'd ideally like to secure another one first.

They come up now and again. I'll keep my eye out for one.

They're also pretty nice.

Yeah I've had a couple before - loved them - looking back I just wish I bought a load more when they were still available.

But thanks, if you see one let me know. I'm still not letting you talk to google bot though.

I'm friends with google bot and yahoo bot, but google bot and yahoo bot don't get on. So it's very awkward for me.

Doesn't matter anyway. Google bot just headed off with Zoltan. Ask Jeeves bot had just come in but I think she's a bit manly for me.

Anyway this is supposed to be a serious post!

Hi Iain this was originally for the Asian Duty Free Only - 1L it was introduced in 1996 and was a heavy Sherry Pot Still blend.

I think it was simply called Jameson Old Irish Whiskey, also available in 0.5l bottles quite scarce and hard to come by....

I remember it still being available in duty free about 6 or 7 years ago - any I got came in a 500ml twin pack with Jameson NAS. I think I might also have seen a 1L bottle but I'm not certain. It was just called Old Irish Whiskey but it had a 12 on the label. The "red label" is just to distinguish it from all the other 12yos. I don't hold out much hope of another one at this stage, but I do remember that it was a lovely whiskey.

Hi Iain, I might know someone selling one ... they have contacted me but I'm not sure if they want to sell at the valuations I quoted them so watch this space. Well not this exact space obviously as I'll need another space to do a further write up ... so watch the next space
