Powers in the '70s

Was the Powers gold label that I drank in Belfast 1970 - 1979, pure pot still whiskey, or had they by then introduced the devil's brew, grain?
I never looked and read the labels, and if I did I cannot remember what it said.

It was a blend. The Pot Still contend was very high. Great whiskey if you can get you hands on one.
